Kathy Sarver is the Director of the Office of Planned Giving. Having been a Virginia public school teacher and coach, Kathy came to JMU in 1998 to work in Student Affairs. In 2005 she moved to Development and was the Associate Director for the Annual Fund. In 2012 she moved to Planned Giving and became the Director in 2015. As the Director of Planned Giving her focus (and her heart) is on connecting JMU alums and friends to the university in the ways that are most meaningful to them; specifically working with donors who want to make a gift to the university either today or through their wills. Kathy works on developing relationships across campus, and with alums and friends of the university throughout the Commonwealth and the country. She also serves as adjunct faculty in the Hart School and the Department of Kinesiology and is a member of many cross-campus and cross-disciplinary committees. Kathy was a student-athlete at Virginia Tech where she received her BA and then while working full time she earned an MS from James Madison University along with the College Student Personnel Administration Certification. She enjoys life-long learning, camping and relaxing in Maine each summer. Kathy and her husband (also an educator and coach!) reside on their small "farm" and are blessed with three grown children and 5 grands!

Ginna Schenck Bauhan, a native of North Carolina, originally joined James Madison University's Planned Giving team in 2011 as Coordinator. After a period of working in Donor Relations at Washington and Lee University, she returned as Assistant Director of Planned Giving in July 2019. Ginna is a member of JMU's development team responsible for securing private support from alumni, parents and friends of the University primarily through bequests, other deferred gift techniques, and major gifts. She serves as the development contact for JMU's College of Education and is a former JMU parent. Prior to development work, Ginna worked in the Harrisonburg City Schools, as a realtor, and in state and federal government. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ginna and her husband, Hobey, are parents of two adult daughters. She enjoys walking in the woodland sanctuary of JMU's arboretum.

A native of Easton, Pennsylvania, Brittney Harris joined the Office of Planned Giving as our Coordinator in September of 2021. Before Brittney came to James Madison University, she was a Division I gymnastics coach at Michigan State and served as the Director of Operations for Rutgers Gymnastics, where she gained experience with donors and donor giving. Brittney earned her bachelor's degree in arts, media and professional communications from University of Pittsburgh in 2014 and her master's degree in athletic coaching education from West Virginia University in 2016. She competed as an intercollegiate scholarship gymnast at Pittsburgh and earned the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Team MVP honors for the Panthers in 2014, in addition to earning First Team All-EAGL honors and First Team All-Tournament accolades on the way to qualifying for the NCAA Regionals as an all-arounder. She finished her gymnastics career at West Virginia in 2015 as a fifth-year senior.

Brittney and her fiancé Dorian Hayden, who was accepted into James Madison University's Combined-Integrated Doctoral Program in Clinical and School Psychology (Psy.D.), moved to Harrisonburg in July of 2021. Once Brittney and Dorian arrived at JMU they knew they found a special place. Brittney said "The campus is beautiful and the people are so kind. JMU has done a fabulous job by creating such an impactful environment".

Amanda Good joined the Office of Planned Giving at James Madison University in February of 2023 as the Coordinator. Amanda received a BA in Art with a focus in Graphic Design from Bridgewater College in 2013. She joins the team coming from campground management where she developed a love for assisting others and building lasting relationships.

She and her husband, Lukas, who is currently enrolled at JMU working towards a BS in Individualized Studies, are natives of the Shenandoah Valley. They enjoy spending time and making memories with their three young daughters.
